Buggy fault?

Eolo buggy came, put the front wheel anxel on and the bolt holding the wheel on has jammed and won't come off. Are they supposed to do that? Also 2 of the tyers aren't inflated and i can't get any air in, gonna try with a car pump at the garage though.

Sucks :(

How do you mean it jammed. Did the nut jam? or the bolt jammed inside the hub? Let us know and we can probably help out.

The nut is welded to the headset, the bold connects the headset to the downtube. The bolt screwed in pretty easy i think but i didn't realise there're supposed to be washes there, tried undoing it and it feels like the nut and bolt have different size threads, it'll screw a bit both ways but no more. The nut and bolt do have the same sizes printed on them though. I'm sure you're supposed to be able to undo it..

if it went on easily, it should come off just as easily. maybe the headstock is angled and causing the bolt to bind somewhere? Try applying a little pressure to unscrew the bolt while wiggling the forks. let us know...

I got to run off to work. I will try to check in in an hour or so. Good luck!!

Also, if it is just the bolt that is damaged, dont feel too bad, I carry spares all the time. I once had a bolt that holds the headstock on to the downtube shear off while turning! What a surprise!!

Actually, now it won't go either way. It really isn't coming off,. I might just cut the bolt off and either ask for a replacement headset or buy a new one.

Buggies are so damn expensive. You can buy cars at the same price. The wheels are stupid, if you squeeze them the air comes out ó.0 . I suppose i could get new tires with inner tubes. With these ones you can only get air in if there's already are in...

always use anti-seize lube on stainless hardware, if it galls its like welding it together.

I used oil. Galls? I tried my hardest to break the thread of the bolt so i could just get a new one but it won't move.

That is such a bummer! You may try taking it to a hardware store to see what they say... They should be able to cut it off or something. And then sell you a new one with some lube to help prevent it from happening again... Good luck!

I'll cut it off and buy a new one myself. I did do an engineering course you know *brushes shoulder*.

If you did cut it off there would be a bit stuck in the bolt which is welded to the headset. So a new headset
