looking to trade up from brand new prism tensor 4.2
Just bought the tensor 4.2 last week. Im 6'5 265lbs and its not enough kite for me. quite interested in depower kites. something i can kitesurf
with when the winds pick up in a few months. So if theres anyone out there with a used kite that can handle my size. has good lift and consistant
power. the tensor used only twice. once at park 5 mph winds in grass. second at beach bout 15 mph winds. fun and fast kite. would actually drag
me down the beach when i'd keep the kite right in the power zone. cost me $399 plus tax. comes complete lines, bar/ handles, bag.

You should think about getting kite surfing lessons if you really want to go that route before you trade/buy a big depower for surfing. The sport is
too dangerous to just dive headfirst into. You will want to get some hands on time with an experienced rider/instructor and a few different kites
before you spend any money on kites powerful enough to drag a 265 man across the top of the water.

I agree with you 100 percent about the kite surfing lessons. besides it's too cold to get the water out here anyways at this time. plus the winds are
very minimal. almost all around the Bay Area I can't find anything more than 5 miles an hour except for Point Reyes why was this weekend late
afternoon about 15. this weekend I am contacting some of the local kite surfing shop see if they have any land base classes since water classes don't
start till March or April. I need to be taught how to rig how to adju all the safety features built into the kite. what's all that is accomplished. I
feel it be a good idea to learn how to fly with the big tight while the winds are very low and minimal. and over the month as I get better with it
mean when pick up a little I learn how to control and harness the power. as far as the waterside goes I'm very familiar with water and my water ways.
I've been a local the San Francisco Bay Area my entire life I have a fishing boat I keep in a water year round I know all about the winds the tide
throughout most of the bay. and I've known how to wait for since I was riding a bicycle as a kid. so while the when is hard to come by at this time of
year learning on a big tight until it's time to jump into water later on I don't feel that bad of an idea. and I'm sorry if some of this doesn't make
sense are the words are wrong I am talking or seeing this to my phone while driving home. actually kind of curious on what is going to say when I get
home and read it probably sounds like crap

Well, hmmm. My advice, for what it's worth, is to hold on to that thing for a bit. My love affair... or infatuation.. ok let's be honest, my obsession
in power kiting was kicked off with a Prism Snapshot 2.5 2-liner. At the time @5.'11 260# I flew the thing non-stop inland PDX and the Oregon coast
while at work. Good winds, crappy winds, scary winds...anything I could. I assure you this is enough kite to learn on. With the resell you can get
out of it, you owe it to yourself to get at least 20 hours fly time out of it. I flew my snapshot, which I converted to 4line, until the bridle
stretched. Mostly static, but it is the kite that I eventually learned to buggy on. You have only had the thing 10 days....it's been said before...the
wind will always be around..learn the ropes on this thing while it's there in front of you, kitesurfing isn't going anywhere.
