I must still be very much the innocent one. Many people out there would be excited about the Oxy and I'm wonding what all we could do with the
Helium!
Nice job on the stake too. The way you went about it should help it stay together from now on. No glue to break down. Can't beat the force fit.

Helium would make for some very comical narration... Thanks for the comments.. I keep several of these with me when I fly. I usually end up giving
several away to friends..

Hey riff I walked by those same tent stakes at the store the other day and couldn't believe how cheap they were. I don't know why I didn't get them
then but I'm going to make some of those. They will work much better than the large plastic stakes I currently have.

I gotta be honest... I watched more because I was waiting for you to lose a digit than to learn about a kite stake. I kinda laughed watching you with
the hack saw, but then you pulled out the drill :o I about lost it. Dude you are crazy !!! Buy a vice before you get anymore kites or Angus won't be
the only one on percocet. Be careful please...

You aren't. Your point is valid. Why else would I put all the warnings in there? It may not look like it but I am being very careful. I do not want to
get hurt. I also didn't push my limits here. Pushed my luck maybe. And yes, I am a bit bonkers; an even dozen Golf balls and tent stakes and I can
still play the piano.

And golf balls are softer than you would think.. AND!, looking at it again with that in mind. You're definitely right..This is not the smartest way to
accomplish the task..

Cool way to make a golf ball stake but if you are going to buy a steel tent stake, why not just use that? I use those very stakes (minus the golf
ball) and have attached flagging to the piece you cut off to make it easier to find if dropped. I like the idea of the golf ball but the stake works
just as well without it (or at least mine have for the past 9 years).

When not kiting, you can always swipe your bro's ball up and jamb one of these in on the fairway
I like the golf ball stakes.

Sure, you could use a standard tent stake, but it's easier on your hand to push in a golf ball.

Pretty funny cheesy. Went through my mind too. Never knew what color the inside of a golf ball was so when I saw pink shards I got nervous.
Clever assembly though. I tend to over complicate things. The simplicity here without the need for epoxy is elegant.
I agree the ball handle is ergonomic and worth it. Tridude, if you start missing golf balls at JIBE, you know where to start looking.

FWIW, the inside colors varies greatly even among the same brand. I've seen pink, yellow, green, blue, beige, white, purple and even one brand that
seemed to be white plastic all the way. Always pastels colors though. Not sure the materials are very different though. All seem to be the same spongy
urethane or something similar. Had one that seemed to be cork but not sure.
As for the vid, I made an edited version with no foolishness or danger.. Was pretty boring..

The other version had zero entertainment value and even less instructional value. Didn't even bother to post it..
