OT: Nesting

So... I've heard that some women in their last month of pregnancy do this thing called "nesting"... Apparently it's an urgent sense of need for preparedness ... Hmmmmmmmm .... I wonder what that's like....

You call this nesting but deep down, you are getting to use power equipment and make a mess! :D It is true that the nesting thing can transfer to the man as well. My dad even had morning sickness when my mom did.

And to touch on what Bob said I gained 40lbs. During my wife's first pregnancy. Rumor has it I woke from a sound sleep. Went to the fridge and ate a cold pork chop and leftover spaghetti-o's. :D

She's had different forms of "nesting" with each kid... Number 4 just happens to be remodeling.

Oldest girl: not sure think it was just cleaning
2nd girl: gardening... She cleared the whole back 40 behind the fence
3rd girl: scrapbooking
4th girl on the way: remodeling and renovation

Since the beginning of January I've:
Built a deck
Installed a new door
Refinished an old door
Painted a ceiling
Demoed a cabinet
Remudded the wall where the cabinet was
Refinished an 8 drawer dresser
And now refinished our bedroom floor to match the rest of the house

She also has just finished painting the bedroom and pulling out all of the old baseboard in the den and laundry room cuz we are having tile put in (with our tax return).

It's been a wild ride, but everything is looking awesome and I'm really pleased.

Yeah... Nesting

Ok... I've been corrected... To quote her text:

"Lol! With the oldest it was linens... I washed like everything in sight and bought all new linens for every bed. And let's clarify that I did most of the dresser....."

I stand corrected
