Suggestions for features/catagories
I would like a "mark all posts read" button, or at least refreshing the new post icon sooner. As it is the icon for new posts remains for several
hours after I've read the new ones. Also I would like to chime in about a newbie group. It may be frequented by mostly newbies, but I've been
pouring through so much stuff to get the info I'm looking for it would be nice to find it all in one place. In other forums I use (for other sports)
it seems that there are always experienced people happy to answer questions.

Good thoughts... we'll consider a newbie forum. Thing is, there are so many kite traction sports, having a general newbie forum may be harder to find
info than how it is now (with forums seperated by sport). Have you tried using the search feature to find specific info?
Regarding the "mark all posts read" button... this would be a matter of reprogramming the forum software - a bit out of our hands.
Regarding Scoop's newbie guide... it is a sticky.
Thanks for the great feedback!

Greetings, PKF...
I sent a message to the "Contact" interface, requesting a dedicated forum for land use, BLM, Forest Service, Fees, and Access issues.
There are SERIOUS changes in the works, regarding access to the public lands which comprise our playgrounds in the Western Deserts of the U.S., and to
public lands everywhere in America, and if groups like ours don't make our voices heard, the fees and controls that are being planned will push many
of us out of the power kiting game, simply by economic necessity.
This will affect all kiting businesses, as well as the freedom of kiters in the U.S. to recreate in many of the venues we currently hold dear.
Please let's dedicate some space in this great forum to inform, unite, and stimulate discussion of these important land use and public access issues.
Thank you, in advance, for your consideration of this request!

Good idea Dooley, let's give it a try. The new Legal Issues forum is open.
In order to keep this new forum open, it will need to have at least a modest level of activity. Therefore, this forum should be used for all issues
related to kites and the law.
Please let me know if you old find posts that should be moved into the new forum.
Thanks for the suggestion.

How about some way to search members by area? State perhaps?

We'll look into the possibility of RSS feeds and member searches, but these type of programming level changes are a bit out of our control.
The main focus of our administration is organization of the forum and creating new categories (or deleting old ones). Most programming upgrade come
automatically when we upgrade the software. That, by the way, will happen very shortly as we are preparing to install a new upgrade and move the forum
to a faster server. More news on that soon.
Thanks for the feedback!
