Adding Music to Youtube vids
So how do I add my songs to a Youtube video? Not the cheesy generic ones they supply, but ones I've downloaded in the past from Google play, etc??
Thanks

To an already established youtube vid? Or your own video? If it's your own vid, you'd do it in your editor (Sony Vegas, Corel Video Studio, Adobe
Premier etc - there's quite a few choices) You import all your video bits, edit them, arrange them in sequence, mute them - or not depending what you
want, then open a suitable song/soundtrack and place it into the music track of your timeline (in the editor). Or, you can import the song first,
then edit all your stop and start points of each video clip to coincide with the beat - a little tricky at first, but you'll get the hang of it soon
enough.
If you want a new bit of music to an already existing youtube clip - download the clip using any of the 'youtube downloader' apps, then stick that in
your editor and mute the sound...and add your sound track.
As for whether youtube will allow your soundtrack.....well, that depends upon their agreement with the song's publisher - some publishers won't allow
their music to be used at all, others only in certain countries. Maybe do a search on youtube for the song in question to start with....if it's not
there, or only on official sites, then be warned!!! I've uploaded a few only to have youtube block it everywhere. Better still, use Vimeo.

You can get with your musician buddies and have them write something up for you. Or you can luck into a superstar, buy everything they have, and
request permission to use it. That is the approach I took and have everyone commenting on the music.

That sounds like the musical stylings of Mr. Holgate to me! For my money, "Tell Someone" is the best kite video soundtrack song ever recorded!
