So I just got my dirtsurfer today and am gonna be looking for good spots, eventually with my kite. Anyone from the area know of one? Any help would be nice and maybe a riding partner as I have yet to find one

Many spots around Vegas to ride. Dry lake beds are the best hands down. Ivanpah access is by permit, if you need one contact the Needles BLM office and they will get a permit out to you - no worry, there isn't any cost. Other areas to ride is Eldorado - between Boulder City and Vegas on the road to Searchlight, Gene - south on I-15, Roach - a little farther down I-15. No permit needed for these lake beds, just watch out for the ruts!

Nearly every weekend someone is either kiting or sailing on Ivanpah, if you want to hook up with someone then that would be my suggestion. Myself and Corey usually meet out on Ivanpah on Saturday's a little after noon time. You can't miss our vehicles, feel free to stop by anytime and say hi!
