Good buggy recommendation?

Thinking about getting a buggy. I will be riding on grass, so it won't be a super smooth surface. Any recommendations? Currently looking at a Peter Lynn suspension buggy and a Flexifoil buggy. I've heard the Flexifoil's are made better, but I'm looking for some advice.

I would prefer not to spend more than $400.

good call on getting a buggy. I find with our indiana wind it will allow for many more days to ride. Yesterday we had gusty wind that I rode in and had a great time. A landboard wood have been a handful on days like that I imagine. your twister will have a buggy screamin down a field

I had the landboard out yesterday afternoon with the Twister! It was definitely a handful. Definitely looking for more ways to enjoy the kite!

The Peter Lynn Comp XR is a great buggy to star with. For $400 you could probably get a usd one fairly easy, just keep your eyes on the "for sale" section. It can last you a good long while and you can upgrade it with lots of aftermarket stuff to make it better. The VTT rail kit is a great upgrade for sure. Or there is also a backrest on the market now too.

Jadog, don't overlook VTT buggies. If you can squeeze just a few bucks more, VTT can make you a brand new Cricket buggy. Several VTT vendors here can get you rollin in short order.
Just Google VTT Cricket buggy. Sorry no linky. My smart phone is being dumb at the moment.
With the Cricket, it will come with the seat you will eventually buy for the PL and come out way cheaper in the long run, and be twice as comfortable from the start.

IMHO

The VTT cricket has the nicest seat and is comparable to the XR+. For inland soccer fields, the smaller buggies will be better than the big cruisers because you are turning a lot more.
check both of them out.

Nobody has made any comments about the Flexifoil buggy yet. How is that seat in comparison? What about suspension - does that matter?

Suspension is not common on a buggy and I don't see many if any available, but I also haven't looked. Also, the seat and tires serve as suspension enough in my opinion unless you were trying to traverse extremely rough terrain. A buggy for those conditions would be costly. I've read flexifoil are better quality weld wise but my pl xr is holding up fine on rough fields. I would grab the first xr+ or flexifoil bug that comes along for that price range.

I'm really not sure who (if anyone) currently sells Flexi bugs in the US... Not to say that no one does, I'm just not sure I've heard of anyone selling it. Felix's current model is called the Navaro and I've only seen one skipping around on this forum.

I know Angus at Coastal Windsports has parts on his site and he might even order the bugs themselves if you order one, but I think the cost to have them shipped from th UK may not make it worth while.

You may likely to find one used here, but I can't say for sure

RevPaul used to own a PL Race which was their suspension buggy. It was a pretty nice ride. I'd suspect it was far less bouncy than something on BigFoots might be? Old vintage though - you'll probably have a hell of a time finding one. I wish I'd have snagged Paul's off him when he let it go.

I'll have a bug for sale mid to late summer but not sure which one and price will vary widely depending on which (paring down to the ONE I need and will use...don't need two around here anymore). Plus shipping from Canada might kill you. I know you'll find a ride - this forum never disappoints.

Like others are saying, the comp XR+, Vtt cricket, and flexi are all good for soccer fields. I know a guy selling a cricket, and also know of a comp XR + for sale! both like new, but a little more than you are looking to spend. If you could go a little higher, let me know I will try and hook you up.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I've seen the Flexifoil buggy's go for around $300, so I'm hoping to pick one up. I did find a PL Suspension Race buggy for $450, but that was a bit more than I'm wanting to spend. Not sure if that's a good deal or not anyway.
