Well, I'm hooked...
I took the NPW that Bladerunner sold me out for the first time today. We have a grassy field a hundred yards from our house and after only light
breezes all week I was ready to roll.
My wife helped me launch it (bridles attached directly to handles). The wind was gusty, probably 10 to 20. After a few times taking it up, testing
the steering and setting it down I padded up and grabbed my mountainboard. It took me a few tries to get moving, but once I got the kite up I took
off! My course varied between running and a broad reach. The grass was tall, so that slowed me down a bit but it was incredible! I went about 200
yards each time and only got dragged a few feet the one time I fell before I grounded the kite. What a great way to spend some time on my 45th
birthday.
I love to sail on water, but with this I can literally step out the door and play. I'm only here writing this because a storm blew up. Needless to
say, I'm hooked. Now I need to get together with some other kiters.
Where has this been all my life?

Glad it's all coming together for you. Now you have figured out the balance between enough brake input and not too much try them on the short set of
lines. Then the long ones. The bigger the window, the bigger the power stoke . ( spelled stroke wrong for the grammar Nazis but it works )
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.
Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

Bladerunner,
Thanks for the tips. I attached the short lines last night after I got off the internet. I am hoping for more stable wind today. I understand what
you are saying about the power stroke. No worries on grammar. As long as I get the idea it is all good.
Ssayre,
It is a 4.6.
Soliver,
LOL, I'm already thinking about what my second kite might be. We get some fierce winds here in the spring and a 4.6 would be way too much sail.

I've got a 3m Ozone Octane practically brand new in the for sale section if your interested. I think it would be a great first foil... Not sure how to
compare foils and NPWs but I know this would be a good high wind kite.

Soliver,
It looks like a nice kite, but my wife has already put the brakes on my purchases for a while.

Yeah,... They have a tendency to do that
Eventually, you get to a place where they make you sell stuff before you can buy other stuff *GASP!* :o

Another tip. Buy kites that look like each other. Then you can say that is the ... coloured kite I bought last month.
Yes we spell it coloUred in Canada. :P
