depower comparable with fixed bridge

Hello I read this sentence on tht another kite forum;

He (Kite Instructor) said that, "I agree with all that Tom says and will add that my first depowereable kite was a 9.5m Sabre Mk1 and on full power it used to be comparable with a 5.5m fixed foil."

I'm using Beamer V 5m, If I buy 9.5 m depower kite (Beginner), is this full power is close to my 5 or 5.5 sq fixed bridge kite.

thanks

Depower foils are not as powerful as fixed bridle foils of the same size. As a rule, a depower foil is generally equivalent to a fixed bridle kite that is half its size (assuming similar A/R) so a 10m high A/R depower is roughly equivalent to a 5m high A/R FB.

However depower means you can depower so I generally use a 60% 40% rule. Meaning a 10m depower that is not depowered = a 6m FB and when fully depowered = a 4m depower. So the reality is a 10m depower would cover the range of a 4, 5, 6m FB kite of a similar A/R and could potentially cover a 3 and 7m as well depending upon how hard one likes to work a kite and how much power they can hold down. That is why it is often said that one depower covers the range of 3 FBs.

Depower Quiver: 14m Gin Eskimo, 10m Gin Eskimo III, 6m Gin Yeti, 4.5m Gin Yeti (custom bridle and mixer)
Fixed Bridle Quiver: MAC Bego 400, JOJO ET Instinct 2.5 & 5.5, Lil Devil 1.5, Sting 1.2

thanks alot,

I guess kite have high A/R is more power. so, is max power of 9 m Hq matrixx more than 5 m Hq beamer? I search matrixx 9 m to buy, but I worry about max power of matrixx because power and lift of 5 m beamer is not enought for me for now
