Galveston Seaweed Crisis

My most previous kite-landboarding session in Galveston which took place in May was hampered with some seaweed, but I had no idea it was getting this bad while I was gone. :o

Apparently the worst influx of seaweed the entire strip of Galveston beach has experienced in the past 10 years. No more buggying or landboarding or anything on that beach for a while apparently. :(

Hopefully this stuff washes away before the next DBBB.

Mood: happy when buggying

I have seen it worse than that in Louisiana. It really is a good thing. It slows down and stops the sand that is blown by the wind. Less beach erosion.
