Outback Mountain Board three wheeler , does anyone know if this board is any good for landboarding ?

Problem 1) can't cut over to toe side
Problem 2) no binding mounts
Problem 3) probably a 7 layer deck as it appears to be a typical street deck
Problem 4) not symmetrical wheelbase which means its a directional board. Refer to problem 1 for compounded problem when redirecting at end of run
Problem 5) not balanced in air when jumping so setting the board down will be a bit more tricky

Other than those 5 issues that I can think of right away, its probably fine

No footstraps, which while doable, isn't ideal.

The Outback is meant to be ridden with one foot on the kicktail which is a metal plate.

If you try to add footstraps, it's going to be a bit awkward. If you try to place both footstraps on the flat portion of the deck, it's going to cut a lot into the stance width.

3 wheels insteads of 4 is going to mean more weight distributed to each wheel, which will be problematic on softer terrain.

The 3 wheels also means that each end of the board is going to react a bit differently to side pull from the kite. I expect the front end will probably breakaway and slide before the back which will probably try to dig in. That will probably vary a bit depending on how the two front wheels are turned in relation to the fixed rear wheel and how you are distributing your weight front to back.

The wheels are 12" vs standard 8", so factor in a higher center of gravity.

Probably doable, but perhaps not ideal, and you would have to account for all the factors listed above.

That is a good board for hills but not to good for kites.

Pretty sure Brian was being facetious/kidding about the pictured decks as they seem to have been lifted from a classified ad for a private sale on Craigslist. The axles actually look like they are made of wood and there are no attachment holes on the baseplate for the trucks.

Trampa, MBS, Scrub, Flame,etc. (I expect all of them) will happily sell you individual components either directly or through their dealer channel. The only caveat is that most manufacturers only sell tires and hubs in sets of 4, although they will sell inner tubes one at a time.

Sam is correct. That board is not mine. I was being facetious by comparing the quality / problems of both.

novel fun about 10min but forgettable after that , dont waste the straps

I used the Outback for kiting for 10 years. It is a directional and the front is actually the end with the two wheels. It uses tie-rod steering (no trucks) operated by tilting the deck. The front wheels have toe-in and cant for better tracking and stability. It has a wide track and long wheel base. Big 12.5" wheels and lots of ground clearance. The combination provides a nice ride at speed with no speed wobble and can hold lots of power with little side slip unless you want it. Goes upwind like nothing. Perhaps a good board to tackle speed records?? It is a very sweet board to carve on and surf berms with. It is fun to ride without straps on light days. But I only played with that a bit to find the sweetspot for the straps. I first learned how to gybe on this board on land before trying on the water and it made it easy.

It is pretty heavy so it's not a great jumper so not that fun to do tricks.

That said, I recently converted it to electric :D Here are a couple test rides...
