Ozone XXLite 19
Hi everyone,
This is another wing that's a very interesting single skin paraglider, and has been part of a depower traction kite bridle mod experiment. Pretty
amazing light wind power and stability, but probably not going to be the ideal kitesurfing kite due to the obvious limitation of no water relaunching
(and a mess if it were to touch the water). Flies in a couple mph and I've kitesurfed on it in 6-8 mph (smooth water, no current). Never crashed,
never wet, only touched clean sand and a clean driveway. Never used as a paraglider either. I've kitesurfed on it using a standard kite bar, and plan
to try it on handles when time permits. If anyone wants this, it retails at 2995 and I would sell if for 1600 dollars including shipping within the
USA mainland 48. Perfect condition. Buyer would be fully responsible for assuring safety if planning on paraglider use. I think it might be a real fun
buggy engine for super light wind, but only experience would tell. I will return it to fixed bridle (15 minute job) upon sale.

Whoa. :D
Loco, when you rode this with a bar, did it have any depower or did you ride it as a fixed bridle?

Hi Chris,
I made a depower system by attaching the CD bridles to a pulley which floats on a line connecting the AB bridles to the brakes (E). This is very
similar to what I've been using very happily with my Flexifoil Blades for many years.
I don't think I could hold this wing riding in 5mph as a fixed bridle although to be honest I haven't tried it. I could hold it standing still in 5mph
but once moving, I think the apparent wind would really make it tough to hold on and stay upwind.
By the way, a paraglider on 25 meters of line is pretty intimidating and I have a lot of respect for the power it can deliver.
My next flight with it will be on handles, allowing for front line input (like weight shift on a pg and like flying a 4 line foil as it should be
flown).

I still have it and haven't done a thing with it since my listing. Too many kites, not enough time. I probably won't be doing a lot of light wind
depower modifying until summer and I have a few fun projects to do, so the XXLite 19 and Vapor 16 are sitting around doing nothing. Let me know if you
are interested.
Thanks,
John
