Help me plan my vacation!

Hey all, I've been off the forum for a while, and without a kite as well as I push through my last year of school. I've been given a sizeable vacation after graduation and was hoping for input of a prime kite spot for the month of June.

Reqs: Warm weather and water, tropical looking water and surroundings, consistent wind in March, flat water and waves.

Disqualifiers: Overcrowded water, overly expensive.

I was thinking of a few places in the caribbean to include cabarete, barbados, aruba, and st. martin? Please help!

Little first hand knowledge other than meeting them in April and seeing some action from the beach. Heading back out there next spring with vastly improved kite skills and less apprehension about getting in the water.

One thing they can virtually guarantee is WIND! Generally a 15-20 blowing offshore on the hotel side of the island. Good or bad for beginners? Unsure...but a lot of action on the lower eastern side of the island as well. Huge waves and big wind. Not the place to start out! The water is dead calm where the school is and plenty of knee deep space to get all the basics out of the way. All the gear looked to be up to date and in great condition.

And just to throw this wrench in the wheels for you to consider...how well you can understand what you're being told by the instructors. Ok, I'm oldish, but sometimes well spoken English with a heavy accent is a challenge for me. I'm guessing that's the way it is in a lot of places outside the U.S.

Have you looked in to Hatteras and the Outer Banks?

Thanks for the help! I will look at those places. I won't be needing instructors for this trip. I'm perfectly ok with and almost prefer being away from a school
