Short buggy session along Lake Erie shore
We haven't had much of a fall buggy season but I got out for a little ride with a friend Sunday - great wind but the location had a very narrow strip
of useable beach and a lot of driftwood to dodge. I kept thinking if we had this wind at our usual beach or on a dry lake then we could have really
gone for some good speed. Riding with the kite de-powered and often straight up just to keep the speed in check but once In a while I would drop it a
bit lower and ease in the bar to feel that power build - I love that solid feel and really wanted to let it go if I had the room and a smoother beach.
As the win increased through the afternoon we lost more and more of the smooth hardback close to the water - we still had fun.

Yes Simon's 7m Lynx is the 2013 model/colour scheme. There are a mix of the 2013s and 14s within our local gang used for bugging and winter.
Thanks Jason, when you get some decent wind we got to get you rocking on that venom (might have to wait till JIBE?)

Never buggied on Lake Erie despite all the time I spent next to it, on it and in it. To be fair I was sailing, not kiting as it was unknown to me at
the time. Someday I shall have to return and buggy those beaches. I love seeing these videos, reminds me of home. Thanks Mark!

Nice vid Mark! Glad to see others experiencing the bane of Great Lakes "Beaches". I reside on the east side of Lake Michigan and can fully
appreciate the drift wood and narrow runs along the waters edge. Thanks for sharing!:D

Nice video, Mark. Reminds me of Southwick Beach on L. Ontario, with fewer trees. I was finally able to get out in the buggy yesterday, as well. I
spent 3 hours riding the parking lot at the Long Point State Park, on Chautauqua Lake near Jamestown, NY. Asphalt surface, very fast riding in a
short space! Wind was SW, 15-g25 or so, I started with the 3.4M NPW9 for an hour or so, then the wind was a more sustained 20 or so, and I switched
to the 2.4M. Not sure what speed I hit, I still haven't found my GPS or helmet cam since my move. Was up on 2 wheels several times, often when I
wasn't trying! I'm looking for a good spot on L.Erie, it looks like Presque Isle in PA might be my best bet.

Can't wait for Jibe Mark. 10 minutes of your wisdom is worth a good meal at the Driftwood Bistro I'd say?
Prolly not so much the lack of wind, as trying to learn the arc on janky wind. I've had them up static a couple times, but overall it wasn't pretty
lol. I'm sure I'm developing a plethora of bad arc habits
Really looking to make big headway at JIBE if not sooner. Much needed constructive criticism is something I don't get flying solo.

Hey Ted - there were a few good thumps on the bottom of the seat hitting driftwood that popped up that day - I should have been wearing my "protect
your bottom" t-shirt!
