Peter Lynn Leopard kite announced

Okay it's finally posted up on Peter Lynn so we can talk about it - the new higher aspect depowerable Leopard is shipping soon and just in time for winter.
I'm especially interested to see how the larger sizes handle (I'll have every size to try out locally in Ontario).

It's shaped like a Montana VII. I'd like to give one a try and see how they compare.

The 9m in particular looks like a sweet spot.

Feyd, I assume you've already been playing with this?

okay Bobby, I'll start tidying up and moving kites around so you'll have a place to sleep when you come up to get some snow on you before I get can get down to get some dust on me!

they are sized up one from the Lynx line up / the Lynx goes 5. 7, 9, 11 and Leopard is 7, 9, 11, 13.5. They are higher aspect and we tend to either use bigger in the winter for lighter winds (especially need a little more power on a snowboard) or the smaller sizes on nuking days that have crazy gusty winds. It'll be fun to compare side by side the two.

I gotta say PL finally joined most of the other kite manufacturers by making something pretty cool and then going out of their way to make it as ugly as possible. Colorblind kiters have it easy.......

I would agree from those profile pics it looks very much like the newest montanas.

Be careful Mark, I might just show up on your porch! Can we toss some hot water in the air?

just got back from the beach and my first fly of the 13.5m peter lynn leopard and ive got to say the kite has impressed me. the wind was pretty much none existent topping out at about 5mph but I even managed to get some air in the buggy.!! by comparison, I brought my 18m charger and attempted to fly that. to start with it was nearly impossible to get the charger inflated but once I did get it flying, all I could do was very slowly cruise the beach. on the other hand, the leopard got straight into the air and was fully inflated within seconds and once I managed to get my technique sorted, I was getting some small sidewinder airs. I cant wait to fly it in 10mph winds to see how much hangtime I can get out of it
