Spring 2015 WBB dates

I have received confirmation with the Shalimar today that the hotel is available for us on the dates we need.

The dates for the Spring 2015 WBB will be Tuesday April 14th through Sunday April 19th. With some coming in early and some staying late I'm sure.

Low tides will be much better this time around and will be in the middle of the day giving us plenty of time and beach to ride.

I guess it's time to start the count down clock. Give me a number Howard! :wee:

I will also try and get dates confirmed for October as soon as I can.

Of course, if you're planning on being a day or two early, your numbers and mileage may vary...

It's not set in stone but the thought has come to mind.....My partner in crime...aka.Flyguy0101 is not joining me this spring...I guess the salt flats are more fun then hanging out with me passing gas in the room....

Anyway...I was just wondering if anyone coming this spring was bringing their kids...I thought that this might be a good time to introduce either one or both of my kids to the sport...Spring is usually warmer and they can hang on the beach and do other stuff as well....ages are 12 (Emma Raye) and 13 (Reverdy).

I would be building a seat for my buggy and others could possibly offer rides. I feel like they are old enough now to leave for a bit and ride down the beach on my own plus I would have the entire PKF family just keeping an eye out...that's right they are "Bruce's" kids...lol

Bruce,
Josh had just turned 12 when he came to his first WBB, and I always felt that he was safe. I mean, really, can you think of a better group of people, or a better environment, to have kids in?
I'm glad that he was able to come to the 'Bashes that he did; now that he's in high school, I'm afraid that it'll be a couple of years before he'll be able to come back to the playa with me:-(
(In other words: there's no reason not to bring Emma Raye and Reverdy. Let me know if you want me to bring my PL Hornets.)

Sorry....but if I had a chance to put a buggy on the salt flats and scream like a girl for miles....I'd toss you under the bus in a minute....haha...

You will be missed a lot.....I'm hoping that I can actually get one or two of these kids hooked when they finally get in a buggy...they got the itch static flying in Maine but we all know that going down the beach doing 30 is way more fun....

TheKidd was just a half pint when he first came to Wildwood. He was fine and never had any trouble. Now he is a giant 18 year old who can break any buggy made. But still the great PUNK he was at first. Kids always have a great time at WBB. But if I'm there I'm not watching your kids :P . I'm to old to do that stuff :P Bring them on down. Put them in a tandem and they will be fine.

One of my first bashes I brought my daughter Amanda down to the beach around 8am. She quickly hopped on the back of Dean/KiteGuru's two-seater. Three and a half hours later... I go back to my room assuming that she went back after her ride. I open the door and my wife asks "where's Amanda"? She was still on the back of Dean's buggy.... :dunno: best babysitter ever !!
