This news source completely leaves out the fact he was using a kite in it's text..... but if you listen to included audio you learn more..that he was using a kite.

Would be interesting to know not about the kite, as much as the clothing and methods of insulating himself from the severe cold. Here it becomes more than about the kite, I think, but about survival.

He did get frostbite. But it obviously wasn't bad enough to stop him. If worse.... it could have snowballed into a needed rescue attempt from outside....or tragedy.

He is to be respected for a courageous effort.

I would say this is certainly a milestone in adventure kiting...and fairly noteworthy in the annals of world adventure in general-perhaps.
