hey man, the build looks good, is the board is stock or custom? seems i remember it being a kite possible ?

anyway, caster steer or walking axle steer? gonna go back through vids, very intrigued for sure and have a gas unit going together.

have a 2 stroke set up and so far so good one more proto set up and a vid. thanks for the inspiration. working up to a beastly dirt track ripper.

Thanks. The board is a stock Outback MountainBoard (OMB) M1 Triple Trax (circa 2001). It came with the footstraps but no footstrap holes in the deck. I rode it strapless with a kite and downhill the first few days to find the best position for them. So that part is custom :)

I used it for kiting for many years and it's a fantastic surf /speed board but not a great trick board (very heavy).

The steering is very similar to a car. Tie rods, kingpins, caster, camber, toe. Tilting the deck pushes/pulls on the tie rods. No speed wobble.

The electric conversion is pretty much plug and play hubmotor, battery kit. Came with all the switches and cables and brakes. I had the make a couple of brackets to clamp the axle into the dropouts. The battery rack and control handle with strain relief for the electrical cables.

Virtually silent. More road and wind noise. Top speed about 25kph and range almost 50km. Easily climbs grades.

I bought it from Golden Motor Canada at goldenmotor.ca

It's a Golden Motor 12" Front Smart Pie4 (latest version) hubmotor. It includes the rim and tire and a couple of spacer washers and torque washers with nuts. Comes with the main cable (connects your throttle, switch module, and brakes to the motor). Your choice of 24v, 36v, or 48v thumb throttle or twist throttle. A 2 switch module for horn and cruise. Two brake levers for electric /manual brake.

Battery is not included. Battery is a Golden Motor 48V 10Ah Lifepo4 (lithium). It comes with the power cable to connect it to the motor and a 3A smart charger.

The USB programing cable is extra and you have to download the programing software which is free.

It was the only wheel I could find that would fit into my frame without having to mod the frame. The controller is internal too so it does not take up room on the board.

All this stuff is out of China and there are tons of other brands out there. The gear is meant to convert bicycles, or scooters or motorcycles.
