Flysurfer Sonic-FR (Full Race)

Someone just pointed this out to me, see for yourself...

Looks pretty extreme! With all the Chronos and Elfs out there, I knew this was going to happen sooner or later...
This make's the Speed look like something I would fly.;)

Nice!

I was a bit worried that Flysurfer may get left behind at their own game. I will take a certain perverted pleasure seeing foils rule the kitesurf race scene after them being poo pooed for so many years.

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

This is a kite they've had in the works for quite some time. My understanding is even before the Chrono came to market. Flysurfer wanted to see how the IKA decision on foils was going to play out before they released it.

The FR reminds me a bit of the Speed 1. The current Speeds seem closer related to the Psycho 4 than where they got their start. Really user friendly and super nice to fly, shloads of depow.

I'm told the FR will have more depow and better gust handling than other kites in the same category. :D

I'm with Bladerunner. Foils have been (and still do) get such a bad rap from LEI guys. Mostly out of pride mixed with ignorance near as I can tell. We've had a number of LEI clients this year who want to get dialed on foils and they are blown away with how easy they are to deal with and how much power they have. I had a client Saturday show up for a clinic in winds blowing 12kts. His first question was if there was enough wind. He couldn't believe I was going to put him on an 8m Access. Then he couldn't believe how well it pulled.

He was psyched.
