Jeff
UPDATE2: I'll ship for 775 via paypal or 725 local...certainly somebody wants this great kite in great condition at a great price??? An 8 sold for
more then what I'm now asking
Low end I've been able to enjoy the kite starting around maybe 8/9mph on fast snow or land board but the kite really starts to shine above 10mph. The
kite has a lot of grunt immediately. It does not however loop anywhere as quick as say a FS Speed. This kite is wicked good in the low teens (I'm at
high altitude so near sea level it should kick in with lower speeds). I don't want to shy away buyers but it is an aggressive kite - pretty easy to
get air - just something to be aware of.
I weigh 150-160 lbs. I have some first person footage from last season ripping along on some snow with the Summit - I'll see if I can't throw
something up on Youtube.
I've seen this kite in action a bunch and it's a powerhouse in the low winds. I can attest that it's rideable in 5-8 mph (if you remember to wax your
skis). I've also seen him lit to the bejesus in variable 15+ mph, but he held it down just fine. Jeff's right, though, you gotta respect this
sucker... it packs one hell of a punch.
I just helped him pack this thing up the other day and it is in immaculate condition. It honestly looks new. I have a bunch of shaky footage of him
on this kite, I think, so I'll see if I can scare something up to post here.
Here is a link to my totally NOT sexy video of the kite being used late last winter :D. About 40 second clip to at least show the horsepower of the
kite-plenty to park and ride even at 12ish mph. No music but thankfully short enough clip to not have my hoots to myself that I always seem to capture
- should be able to tell by the sound that the wind isn't howling but I'm moving pretty good. Like Dave mentioned in 15+ the kite starts to generate
some serious power! It will get you airborne quick but it can be held down even in 20+ if you are keeping things in check
Kind of realized this morning that I have 3 12 meter kites....dropped the price on my swanky Summit 50 bucks. This kite is awesome for land boarding
and I'd suspect it would be pretty wicked in a buggy.
You had missed me by only a couple of days when you had originally posted this thing for sale. I was actually in the market for this exact kite, among
only a handful of others. Good luck with your sale.
Hey Kosh!
glad we hooked up via texts!
Sorry yesterday didn't work out with the studying (wind did turn on eventually) but it was sort of ratty and tight with the goals on the field.
Hope your test goes well tomorrow and drop me a line. We can meet up at a park (Dove or up this way-Westminster) when there is some wind. I'll def
help out all I can with the board and you can hopefully fly the Summit.
Haha, just sent you another text, Jeff. I was thinking maybe tomorrow afternoon at Dove. Alternatively, I'm heading to Superior on Saturday, either
late morning or early afternoon, we could meet up somewhere in Westy then if that works better for you.
