Not RC, but Hotwheels does make powered cars, plunk them on a charger unit and they'll run for 30 sec or so before winding down, slot car style motor
and drive train, just self powered.
I see though that the rules will not allow that particular car, back to the drawing board.

Oh, there are controllable RC cars the size of hotwheels, with left/right steering. They use capacitors to power them, charged by plugging into the
controller.
http://www.mini-rc-cars.net/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&am...
Oh yeah, I'm seeing RC shot cars, even if I can't race it 'cause of the mean old coreylama. ;P
We could do a little independent circuit race on one of the tables. Maybe a team event, drive to one end, partner fill the glass, drive back without
spilling!
I might just pick up a four pack and bring on the fun.

If you show up with a powered shot car for the race AND try to enter said car, you will be physically heckled, your fuel will be taken and
appropriated to help satisfy and calm the rioting crowd and then you will be tossed out of the arena (without your fuel which can stay).
If you put up a protest to your vanishing fuel, you will be forced to sit down and watch Corey's home made video of him buggying naked!
Oh and BTW, if this is going to be an (UN)official event I may be willing to put up an (UN) official prize to the winner if he/she is still standing
at the end.

Well then, I'll just have to show up with a powered car and specifically NOT race it, just drive it over to the fueling station as often as possible!

Chipper-Buddy,
You may bring the most tricked-out shotcar you can conjure up.
You'll get to race it, if it fits on the track.
Anybody can race against you, it's their choice.
And yours.
We can match up any racers.
That's why it's called a "match race".
Official Shot-Car Racing is a seperate class.
Like Top-Fuel or A-Gas or Funny Cars (Laughing Stock?)
We can race trucks or vans or volkswagens or sports cars or even make up catagories on the spot.
No-body else is running this and making up rules that WE have to follow.
One of the opportunities at nabx is to create other ways to play.
So much of the default world is already in-place and we simply go-along.
Not so out here.
No-body has been here before.
This is a new sport and we are creating it as we go.
Seems a shame that the big tent isn't filled with merry-makers every night.
So I thought a good excuse to help that happen would be nightly shot-car races.
Silly enough.
The racing is not intended to exclude anybody.
Just the one class as even as we can make it.
Everything and anything goes for the rest.
Local buggier Dave LaVeck has a 1972 Monza with a big blower motor in it.
Street-legal and absolutely staggering.
If needed, Dave has threatened to glue a shot glass to the roof.
Maybe park it in the tent and just rev the motor.
So I think that kind of sets the boundries.
Like Hose-a said (but with better spelling) "Bring It!"

how about some morning races(time trials) without "fuel"
it can give us something to do while we wait for the wind to come up. i don`t think we should use "fuel" in the morning knowing we will get in our
buggies as soon as the wind comes up. "fueled" up buggying is not a good thing.

You call it whiskey...
... I call it breakfast.
I don't need no steenking rules.
You do what you gotta do.
I do what I gotta do.
Maybe the morning fuel is orange juice.
Huh?
Ever think of that?
Mimosas and Bloody Mary's...
THERE ARE NO RULES!
(Except a few I'll make up on the spot.)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I mean it, Glenn, Happy Birthday to you, man.
So you are the result of Spring Fever?
Simple math and a basic knoweledge of human reproductive cycles indicates your Mom was frisky in the spring.
No wonder you have been so fond of the playa in the spring.
May you continue to grow older without growing up.

Distracted Imp,
(deterred gamin?)
You French think excellence in some things (cheese, bread, wine, art) makes you the best in all things?
We invented gravity over here, mon chere.
Gravity is our friend.
No body comes to OUR house and beats US!
You are, however, most welcome to come and TRY!
