Heya.
Almost all of our riding is done out of state. For day trips, we will be heading to Wyoming, Nebraska and close to New Mexico. For actual
kitesurfing in decent winds, we'll be taking a plane. I'm not sure I want to spend part of my "relaxing" trip arguing with some airline twat about
whether or not I'm a golfer (I am, but I don't wanna bring clubs with my kites to appease a rule I disagree with).
So instead I've been looking at the viability of split boards. They appear to be pretty awesome, but I was wondering if maybe someone can help me
understand the splitboard landscape. They are EXPENSIVE, so I really want to do my research before I pull the trigger on one. I've only been able to
find 4 companies that make them... does anyone else know of another splitboard manufacturer? Any tips on how to get a cheap one (like less than
$1000?):
Anyway, here are the ones I've found:
Nobile
Newind
Flysurfer
KitElement (I have trouble typing this name... makes me uncomfortable)
Personally, I think I like the KiteElement or the Nobile the best, just for easy of use / transport, but if anyone has any tips or suggestions, I'm
all ears. I can't find a used one anywhere
