Today, time, wind, and field conditions lined up for one of my best spots. The wind was the most erratic I have ever seen outside of a storm. Started out on the field with the 4 meter with gusts to 20's with long lines, then switched to the adjoining gravel lot with the 2.5 meter and gusts in the 30's. with short lines. I thought I might have a bridle problem with the 4 meter because it would surge hard then have a tendency to back stall at speed (something the nasa stars have never done in decent wind). I switched to the 2.5 and had the same problem so I'm guessing that it was just wind shifting directions. It wasn't bad enough that I ever stopped but it made for a spooky ride when I was hooked in. I thought I had used the nasa's in the weirdest wind my area had to offer until today. I rode a combined total of 10 miles. Now that's what I call lunch on Tuesday. :D Also, I bent my street kite bar nearly in half on an extreme gust. I bent it back a little before I took the picture. I would guess the gravel lot is a couple of football fields long so you can see how big my grass area is to get an idea of size. Wind is still cranking. I'm thinking I could get another quick session after work.

Must be some bad wind going around Sean. I went to the park today where I've gone dozens of times before and couldn't even get the little blue single keel to fly right. Just some bad wind, or a bad direction/leaves now showing up on the trees filtering out the good stuff. I could be in for a long summer.

Another 2.5 meter wind day today. Not sure I'll be able to make it out today, but that's been 3 high wind days in a row. I don't even know where I live anymore :D

It keeps cranking like that and you are gonna have to ask Steffan to special order the 1.5!!

Yep, and maybe a couple titanium bars. Also I had to order a roll of ripstop tape. Asphalt has been very hard on the kites. I've got some pin holes on each corner of the nose of the 4 meter and the 2.5 isn't far behind

done properly man!, expect these conditions(wear) to remain consistent...you keep doing it, the gear will show it.

between repairs and /or between injuries and the fun completely erases the awareness of either.
