Skikes. Good or Yikes? Picture added.
These Skikes look the job ( minus brakes ) at only $125 delivered.
Has anybody had a set of these? They look well made in the pictures. A good platform to build on at least ?

Damn, those are cheap too. Now that my mountain board is missing I might have to consider those.

Nice looking, but the ones you referenced are specifically for someone with less than size 6.5 shoe, and less than 132 lbs. While this may apply to
you, Ken, most of the rest of us are bigger than that!:D

I have a pair of the V-07s. I've used them with (and without) ski-poles and after a learning curve was able to use them on both hard pavement and
rougher surfaces (small gravel over hard packed dirt.) I used to go for 2-3 miles a time. I had tried roller blades a few times but hadn't done
them in years. I've never had the nerve to try them with a kite, though at JIBE last year one guy did have a pair and used them. (I got a little of
his run on a youtube video I made.)
They are a very taxing workout, and until I learned to really pump them up (80lb or so) I couldn't get very far. My ankles were much too weak to use
them, so I took the boots from an old rollerblade and permanently attached them and that helped a lot. They are good for crappy pavement surfaces and
the like. Could never make a go of it on grass.
They seem well made - but not bullet proof I guess. The brakes are pretty useful. One thing I didn't like was that the tires are very hard to pump
up due to the placement of the valves and you have to keep them inflated fully - so every week or so you are pumping them up. I usually had to remove
the tires to pump them up. i had to replace an inner tube - their is a shop in shop where one can buy spare parts on line.

The brake looks troublesome. The red brake pad holder is not removable.
Too many kites, boards, and etceteras.

Ha Ha,
I never noticed they were so small. Helps explain the cheap price.
I almost qualify for the 132lbs but I've got large feet. Need I say more! :P

Mood: chilled....but ready to SAIL!

too small and too heavy!....and nearly same weight as coyotes.
about 90min to 2hrs is as much as i could do with coyotes at #200 and a seasoned speed skater for about a decade...doubtful a novice rider at the
limit of #132 would last 20min, more like 5-10.
thats a YIKES!
