I'm so excited! Tomorrow i'm on my way Destin and I'm gonna go kiteboarding for the first time. I've got some lessons scheduled because I'm not about to go out onto the water without someone showing me how it's different than landboarding.. but I expect it shouldn't take me long to be on my way.. So like i said.. SO EXCITED!!

I love Destin - I've been there at least a dozen times for windsurfing, but always in the fall. The bay has shallow water for 1000-2000 feet out from shore. Please post how your lessons go -I'd be interested in know that myself.

BTW, if you are up for shopping - Liquid Surf and Sail is a nice shop in Ft. Walton for all water sports including kiting. Kitty Hawk Kites also has a pretty nice shop there in the area as well, but its a bit hard to find.
