This isn't power kiting, but I was kind of happy with the result so sharing it here anyway. Me flying a tiny Prism Micron in a storm! Comments are welcome! ;)

I can't watch the video at work but I've been flying stunt kites since the early 90s. One of the best (and cheapest) tails you can make is from VCR tape. Simply crack open the cartridge and run out a section as long as you want. You can add them to the wingtips or spine just by tying them around the nocks. Best part, when you're done, tear it off, roll it up around your hand and throw it away.

I use to run 50-100' tails. Crowds love it when you loop the kite repeatedly or make quick turns across the window dragging a long tail. It's like sky writing. One cassette will last you a long time.

I like the VCR tape idea, but being black, create the brain-child of using bright neon Orange and/or Pink property line flagging tape.......

A sewn nylon sock that inflates well would be the best?.

Twin line kites can be a blast...........especially with a go pro on them..............I DO pull a couple out for an evening flight at the beach, or now that I just bough a EXP Revolution, that'll be my cool down kite too.

This is my biggest twin line, hey, it had to loft a gopro payload (taped to the top horizontal spar) it really changed the CG of the kite..........but this video turned out great with women and children screaming......

https://vimeo.com/53620103

I just grabbed 250' rolls of flagging tape to make some tails with, we're headed to the Kitefest in Lincoln City Oregon end of june........

The tail is Prism's own 75' tail. At the end of the video I also used a cheap 100' tail from PassionKites. :)

Thanks for reminding me to get the Prism Micron out again. The little baby kite tends to get lost among the four line kites. My wife and I put a longer tail on the kite(your video)and had fun on the beach this afternoon.
