What are the larger size Rage kites like?

I have the 1.8 and 2.5. Wondering about the 3.5 and 4.7.

I am impressed every time I get the 2.5 out. Kite cruises at 20 mph and will run 30 mph easily(saw these speeds the other day). What have others top speeds(buggy) been with the 2.5?

I wish I would have bought a 3.5 back when they were on sale.

I'm wondering if the two bigger sizes are as good as the two smaller sizes? Do they behave well or do typical "big kite" problems start showing themselves? Do they handle gusty wind well or do they want smooth wind? Anyone ever had one twist up or luff on them? Are the bigger sizes impressive as far as how they fly? Are they fast or not?

I started off with the 3.5 as my first real power kite and to this day it is still my go to kite.....after years of flying them I couldn't say enough good things about them....If you have the skills you can work this kite in almost all situations that will sure to bring a smile to your face....

Since talking this over with another kite friend we have determined that the "RAGE" line works perfectly in our conditions if you want to continue to fly FB. Great little engines that don't have a ton of lifty qualities in gusty conditions. This is when the search started to get the whole quiver sizes.

I just got a 1.8 (over the winter) but haven't had the chance to get out and fly this, as I purchased it for a high wind kite. I have just recently purchased the 4.7 after looking for about a year now. I will let you know how it goes, but deep down I know it is going to perform just like my 3.5..it's just a little bigger.

Still searching for the 2.5...I did not realize they were starting a whole second generation of the rages...

Im with Bec on this only difference is that I will never get the 2.5 or 1.8 if the wind is blowing that hard I am going for bigger- ie depower and a board, but for the bug the 3.5 is my favorite buggy kite- super stable and does what you tell it to do- no fluffing or luffing as for the 4.7 it is the newest addition to my quiver and while I have only flown it twice so far I would say it is Exactly like the 3.5 only bigger. By far these have become my go to buggy kites

I've seen that and was totally ready to pull the trigger on this deal...but then keep going and the shipping is like 45 or 60 bucks....I can't do it knowing the kite is a deal and I'm paying that much to ship....I'd love to have that red/black and white scheme....
