PL Folding+ Buggy -- SOLD --

SOLD

Peter Lynn Folding Buggy with extra wide wheels in good used condition. Hard to find buggy that folds down and back out in seconds. Perfect solution if you want to transport your buggy to and from your garage by just throwing it in the back of your SUV, pickup truck, or car trunk. No tools needed to fold down or fold back out.

Buggy is Peter Lynn's third and best iteration of the folding model with 20MM rear axle bolts and thicker stainless steel tube set and hardware, same as used on the PL Competition XR+ and Bigfoot+ models. I swapped out the stock nuts that secure the "Y"-shaped frame connectors (the part that folds) for nylock nuts. Puzzling that PL doesn't do this out the door as these joints are subject to vibration and non-locking nuts can come off.

I'm selling it only because I just bought a Bigfoot and don't need two buggies.

$450 plus S/H (for sale only; please no offers for trades)

Michael - nothin' but love for ya buddy! Come on, it would be like homecoming. :P

Abkayak - You and I definitely think alike. But, as I've noted in other threads, I am on my second and final marriage, and one of our "agreements" was that my quiver is now large enough, so if something new comes in something old has to go out! ;)

Hey, now there's an idea!

Steve, thanks brother...Home sweeeeet Home! but unfortunately if I did... I'd probably be on MY last marriage puhahahah...

You gotta know I love that PL folding bug... If you still have it in about 2-3 months (I will have to justify it before the queen of my castle) ...but I would definitely get it back!

The ironic part of all of that involving the bug, was the bolt/nut. It was grievous to me just not having the bug in "proper" condition. Although all it needed was a nut...

Then one day out of the blue...I received one in the mail... ergo the one I sent to you. Made it complete.

Michael - I bet it won't last that long but there is still hope for you. Funny thing about that nut and bolt. I got yours, put it on and on the very next ride lost the nut from the other side. Go figure. I ended up swapping the nuts from those two "Y" joints with two SS nylon locking nuts like they use in aircraft; a nice upgrade to be sure. Paying it forward to the next guy. I concluded that there is something about that joint on the folding bug that is subject to a lot of vibration.

Abkayak - I have thought of a tandem to pull my daughter but I think I will craft another solution (or try to find one on PKF). I like the way you think!

nylon locking nuts are the first thing I did after my first time with the xr buggy. They are a necessity, not sure why they wouldn't have them in the first place but it's an easy fix. I didn't bother with stainless since i'm not near salt water

I call that odd, but I can see why this happened...

I'm pretty sure you are correct about the vibrations there. I will say I learn a lot from a bug.

:D

The lineage and history of this buggy amongst fellow PKF's continues to expand.

The force is strong in this one....former owners speak up with stories of beach adventures and sand it's tasted. I'll be sure lick the frame for proper testing.

The torch has been passed, it is my first buggy and seat time.

I shall pee on the tire to mark and establish my territory.

Seriously,

every used kite I've bought in my quiver I always taste a damp finger dipped in the grains of sand or grass that is in the kite bag.......my weird little thing I guess, but I can only ponder the stories behind used kites or buggies......and the joy they've brought to others.......

That buggy did bring me great joy in its short sojourn in my possession. She was my first and you will never forget your first. I had been trying quite unsuccessfully to get rolling first on a mountain board over several frustrating sessions. Then I got my Flysurfer 12M Peak2 up in the air, sat down in the bug, dropped the kite down into the wind window and off I went. I yelped out loud I was so excited. That first run will always be on that bug. May you too find such joy on that buggy.
