Buggy Thangs: Spring & Fall at Elmer's

Howdy Buggy'rs,
Just a note to inform any and all that the annual Thangs are coming.

If you would like to explore the aoxomoxoa of desert buggying, a like-minded group gathers occasionally at El Mirage Dry Lake in California.

The Sprang Thang is the weekend AFTER Memorial Day, June 5-6th.

The Fall Thang will be the weekend of Sept. 25th-26th.

As the buggy world grows, more and more you can find them out there.
Across from Sailors Bay on the west end of Elmer's.

Or if you're coming to Lost Wages, you can often find a local buggy group that's happy to have you along.

We are blessed with El Dorado, Jean and Roach Dry Lakes close in and easily accesible.

Ivanpah Dry Lake is a permit-use area and you should make arrangements beforehand to meet with permitted users to keep good relations with the BLM.

Call me at work - WindPower Sports - to set things up. (702/220-4340)

You bring your engines, I can supply a buggy.

If you've never, but want to try it, learn to fly sport kites first. The playa is not the place for that - Too abrasive and dirty.

Buggy lessons are for folks already kite flyers.

Come play.
