I just wanted to share some pics from a beautiful hot Texas evening this evening. Winds were a steady 13 to 15mph (strange for here) :P Absolutely
gorgeous and this kite has quickly become my favourite. The Venom 2 LIVES! LOL! :bouncy:
On a funny side story from last night. A couple disc golfers walked over from the course behind us and said that we freaked them out a bit last night.
One of the guys said " Y'all freaked us out a bit... We have been drinking a bit and kept seeing this shadow fly over us ever now and then. We looked
up at the sky and saw your parasail or whatever it is y'all are flying and freaked out. We thought it was a UFO at first then maybe a parachute or
something!" I ended up really LMAO! HAHAHA! :alien:
$750 is way too much for a folding buggy IMHO. Here's something to think about : I started with a folding buggy and then switched to a Bigfoot. I am
infitinitly happier with the BigFoot. It is better construction and actually easier to break down, transport, and set up!
The thing with the folding buggy is that you've got to lift the whole thing in and out of your vehicle and that can be a little daunting. The Bigfoot
breaks down in an instant to the rear axle and the rest of the buggy. While the gross weight is higher you only lift half at a time so it is much
easier.
I know the Comp XR is built the same way as the Bigfoot so if you don't need or want the big wheels the XR will be even lighter and easier to work
with than the Bigfoot.
Just food for thought. Don't be lured to the folding just because it seems to make more sense. That was a key learning for me. Good luck with your
quest to find a used one; buggies can be hard to find. Have you tried posting your desire for one in the Wanted thread?
Here's a quick little video I threw together from yesterday. Only thing missing was my board......AND..a buggy! LOL! Soon I will have a buggy in the
picture as well!
Oh, good info. I like the bigfoot but I think the XR will do just fine for around here especially being my first buggy (well one that I did not make
out of rusty old bike parts and scrap). Yeah, I'm waiting til I have a bit more expendable cash in hand before posting in the wanted thread. Currently
the price range for me is right around the 450 to 550 dollar range. I do plan on definitely having one by fall for sure though! Damn these stupid
bills cutting into my kite addiction....
Yep, those bills do suck. That price range seems about right. I bought and sold my Folding buggy for about $450 here on PKF and bought my BigFoot for
$500 on eBay. Good luck!
