PL compact sticks for 19m Venom 2
Anybody have some PL compact sticks for the 19m Venom 2? The ones that came with my kite are all seized up. I got one un-seized but the other has
split the aluminum right down the side and is impossible to get undone or fixed. Having them fully extended all the time was driving me nuts and was
hard to transport so I decided to try and unstick them........... oops!

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just replace the ferrules?

When I needed to replace them on one of my old kites I ended up using www.intothewind.com had them cut/ship me the right size carbon tubing and connectors. Not a great store for power kites, but they have amazing
customer service/support, and good prices in my experience. They're my goto catalog/store for non-power kite stuff. I've heard rumors others have used
tent poles, but those are heavier.
Your local model shop (think RC) might carry carbon tubing. It's been hit and miss for it vs fiberglass in my experience around here. I also like
being able to get the thicker tubing if I want. |
To quote myself from a different similar thread. Into The Wind sells the ferrules if that's all you need.
