This was shared on XK.

Don't know if it was a planned or unplanned.

judging by the amount of leg waggling it was unplanned. Did well to pull up at the last moment and avoid being slammed into the ground.

Ground.... Or metal goalposts. Doh! :o

This sort of video reinforces for me the decisions I've been making regarding my quiver, steering towards kites designed to emphasize pull and away from kites that emphasize lift. I'm thinking Spencer (EDIT soliver) will tend to agree with me. ;)

I've finally gotten to were I don't cringe when I see videos like this... And experience somatic pain :o

He may have been trying for a graceful dismount and carried more speed into the pendulum than he anticipated. You can tell that he is at least somewhat experienced and comfortable in the air because he thought to kiteloop before he hit the goal posts and was able to fly over them instead of being whacked against them.

On second thought, it just looks like he maybe crossed his bar after spinning it and accidentally pulled the kiteloop. He is lucky.

This is why I don't use paragliders in the buggy.
