indoor soccer

last year sprung my wrist and elbow so bad it took 4 months to fully recover. This year, second game, tore a quad muscle. Probably out for the soccer season but worse yet probably sidelined from longboard for awhile.

kiting doesn't injure me but the second I play goalie i'm injured instantly

Doh! Sorry to hear about this brotha. Torn quad muscle sucks. My advice to you, Flounder, is to start drinking heavily.

And to add insult to injury it was when you were playing goalie! I pulled a hamstring a couple of times and it indeed sucks to be out of other stuff. Hopefully you heal soon. Maybe you can kite buggy?

Sean - don't do extreme sports like soccer. Stick to safe stuff like traction kites.

Seriously - sorry to hear about it. Hope you have a quick recovery.

I've got a similar issue! I have yet to injure myself kiting, I guess I pay a lot of attention to my safety.

On the other hand, this time of year my right arm always gets sore. We're winterizing irrigation systems and the cordless impact gun we use weighs like 20 lbs. Something about holding its unbalanced weight all day just ruins my forearm despite me otherwise being pretty tough and rugged.

Once it's sore from holding that tool, my forearm hurts so bad when flying handles unhooked, and it heals incredibly slowly. It was sore all of last winter and I could barely fly. That's why this year, despite being a die-hard handle flyer, I've got myself a depower to baby my arms when they are sore... must be getting old.

I'm sitting here soothing the pain with a glass of The Black Grouse. Yeah, it's blended, but I would need a real excuse to drink single malt on a Wednesday :)
