Access xc 6m vs. apex II 7.5m

Has anybody got any experience with this older (2009?) access?
One has come up for sale semi-locally for what I think is a very good price.
I already own the apex II 7.5. Will this be too much like owning the same kite?
As i type, I'm realizing i should just get it. My teen son is 60 lbs lighter than I, so we'll both be able to fly at once...
Still like to hear your opinions tho.
Thanks,
colin

Flight quality of the Access is much better IMO. Both kites are the same flavor by the Access is a bit more refined.

The Apex has a bit faster turn rate though IMO.

The access 6M is very close to the apex II 7.5M . The older access are a little more grunty than the newer ones of the same size . A good combination would be a 7.5 apex and a 4m access as part of a quiver . It would however be a great kite for your son if u wanted something with a little less power than the apex.

MY KITES
nano- 0.5m - high wind kite
mega-2.2m- low wind kite
