Wheel hub dimensions
Anybody know where I can get the dimensions on these MBS Twistar Hubs?
http://shop.mbs.com/accessories-486/mountainboard-wheels/mbs...
I own the board and it has been out of commission for a long time now. I can't find a place to buy just one hub and don't want to buy all 4. I am
hoping to just 3D print my own but I need the dimensions to build the CAD model.
Also, I would prefer to print in PLA, does anyone else have experience with this? Is the material strong enough?

I think I found the most I will get looking it up online.
https://www.kitemare.com/mbs-core-90-mountainboard/
I will also pick up my board to get the other hubs and model them if I need or my friend has extras of the same hubs I found out.
If anyone has incite on 3D printing parts let me know.

If it's difficult to find spare hubs and you plan on keeping your board a long time, buy some extra hubs.

Well, I am a poor college student until January and I plan on getting another set up when I have money again. Just trying to get a quick fix for the
time being.

One word of advise . I wouldn't get the twitstar hubs they are a pain to open up to change the tubes or tires. I had to make a special tool to hold
the wheels to take them apart. they don't use nuts and bolts like the old style rims but lock in blace with a twisting motion also one of my rims went
bad already. Some how one of the bearings began to push itself into the wheel and upon further examinations seems like some kind of plastic spacer
broke apart. I don't ride my boards hard at all and It has never happened with my other wheels which I had been using for many years. I usually get my
hubs directly from mbs or ebay there are only 2 makers of hubs in the usa as far as i know so the market is very limited . the hubs last a long time
its the tires that go bad for me after a year or 2 but they are cheap like 6 dollars a tire on ebay . The twistars look cool and everything but are
not very durable.

The MBS Twistars are horrible.... MBS should have discontinued them a long time ago.
No nuts and bolts.... they are held together by interlocking plastic tabs and the outward pressure of the inner tube.
Picture is no longer up, but Houston Airhead had so many of the plastic tabs fail that eventually his hubs were held together by multiple zip ties.

Hubs for 8 inch tires are pretty similar dimensionally, and unless you are trying to set land speed records you probably won't notice much difference
if you replace with another type hub. Comparative weight info can be found here:

Unfortunately, buying a single hub is always the issue.
Inner tubes you can get as 1-offs. Hubs and Tires always seem to be sold in sets of 4 which kind of sucks.
Check your PMs for an possible solution.

I have 3 mbs twistar hubs and am willing to sell one or two or all 3 for a good price. Or possibly would be willing to buy the 3 u have maybe. If
there is still a need let me know. The 3 hubs I have have only been used maybe 10 times and r in very good shape. White in color.
