I live in Utah so am of little help recommending sites. What I can tell you though is that it has been bitterly cold for days and days in the Rockies
with nights consistently plunging down way below zero and days only rising into the single digits or low teens. Makes for pretty darn good ice
formation so I suspect pretty much anywhere you would care to go will be frozen up solid and thick.
I hope you have a wonderful time with your daughter. Lucky girl scoring a Copper trip with her dad.

I haven't been to Dillon yet this season but Anton keeps conditions posted at Coloradokiteforcedotcom. There is an actual kite park at the south end
by Frisco. If the wind is out of the west you will want to kite the north end due to burbling winds.
Enjoy!

Hey there mainkite,
I just got back to Colorado Springs on Friday after being gone for a few weeks. It has been cold. As someone mentioned, Anton with Colorado Kite
Force has a twitter feed (also on his website) where he posts Dillon Res conditions. It sounds like it is locked up, and we have a forcast for Snow
on Thursday.
If you are staying near Copper, I think Rabbit Ears Pass would be worth your time to check out if you want something with a little more varied
terrain. Its about an hour North of Dillon. SNOWTEL is reporting 40 inch base there right now, and it is a nice park-and-ride spot.
FrontRageJeff on this forum would probably be the best guy to talk to for most recent conditions at Rabbit Ears, and would be more than happy to fill
you in. You could probably even talk him into meeting you up there. I'd come up, but just got back from adopting a little boy from China, so we have
a lot of craziness going on at our house right now :>
Have fun for me though if you can! Should be a great trip. I think we are doing better than average for snow this year - at least locally.

Not sure when your trip is, but wind and snow forecasts are looking good for Rabbit Ears on both Saturday and Sunday. Should also be good for Dillon,
though it sounds like snow is still a little scarce there.
