should u launch the kite hooked in or not...its just iv never been sure??

If you are talking about your Sabre, then yearh. Holding the bar without being hooked in puts it all powered up from the get go.

Hooked in gives you more contol as you can sheet the kite in and out. Unhooked is safer because you just let go of the bar. Depends on your skill
level and your launch area.

uh-hooked also helps to stall the kite when its in the powerzone.... a quickly accellerating kite will generate more power with its speed. thus,
stalling it untill out of the powerzone is safer.

All the cool kids are unhooked.
I'd suggest a hooked launch. This is how its taught from all the instructors, and I figure they have their reasons.
Kites: 16m PL Scorpion, 9m & 14m 06 Best Waroo
Vehicles: Thrift store snowboard, fraken-ATB, Old Litewave water board.
