Hardwater Kiting Global GPS Speed Ranking 2016 Week 1 Result
Week one results of the Hardwater Kiting GSR are in!
Given the state of winter in some parts of the world first week participation is a little thin but the speeds are great and we have some new riders we
haven't seen before which is great.
Congratulations to Guy Lebrun of Quebec for taking first place with his top speed of 43.36 mph on his Ozone C4 13m. That's a great speed for fairly
light winds on an LEI. We look forward to seeing more from Guy! :thumb:
For more information and the full ranking list please visit the GSR page.
On a side note. If we contacted you for shipping info and T-shirt size and didn't receive a shirt let us know! We still have shirts for weekly
winners and runner ups (people who came in second to someone who already won a week) from last season and maybe the season before. Thanks!

It's been a bit of a roller coaster for sure. Glad I don't own a ski hill.
This was the first year that I thought we wouldn't be riding before New Years. Beat it by a day! We've been forced to ride our land based spots
which we haven't really ridden in almost 3 years. When conditions came into play the riding has been quite good (see pics). Had a 6 day stretch of
riding both for fun and lessons and it definitely brought our collective moods up. This season has been the polar opposite of last year and I'm happy
we had such a killer season last year to take the edge off the beating we're getting this season. :D
This last weekend we rode Saturday then watched 2 inches of rain come down Sunday. This has taken the land based stuff out of play for a bit but
smoothed out the ice so that's good. The ice situation is coming around with 7"+ up north and 5-6" just down the street. The studded tire bike
riding is really great right now! POWERSLIDES AND DRIFTING FOR DAYS!!!! Thinking of hosting a skidding contest. My longest is about 400'. :D
We've had more demand for guided fat biking than kiting at the moment. I have a backlog of lessons waiting in the wings, a pile of gift certificates
that want to be redeemed and when the season finally gets dialed, which may be pretty soon, things are going to be hectic.

Really, really glad things are slowly turning into winter out your way. Just checked the North Conway weather and see you are under a Winter Weather
Advisory and that there are a lot of nights coming up heading into the low single digits. Good ice forming nights for sure. Rock on!
