I am planning a kite landboarding trip to newquay (in cornwall not wales) and was wondering
(given that only three beaches there are owned by the council) if there were any restrictions for kiting on the beaches?
For example do i need and permits or insurance from an approved body etc?
And are the privately owned parish beaches still open to the public to use.
Can anyone give me any advise or recommend a suitable kiting site in the area.

If you go slightly north of newquay there is watergate bay which all forms of kiting are permitted on and there's a kite shop / school right there on the beach.

Also nearby is Skyhooked (Dom's) kite park which has a number of ramps / lumps to use.

HUUUUGE beach, many kiters use it, as it's so big it's never really a problem getting in other peoples way.
