i can't remember the first time i had seen a pair of nitrous shorts , but wanted a pair ever since . they never seemed to have a size i thought i could fit into, and would have to try a pair on to really know. every shop that had them they were all 28" or so small and i'm a 34/36 .... anyway the hack, ultra easy and simple

i had just bought a new Dakine fusion, (XL) with cool super low profile and all the cool dakine junk that comes on them. last fuson was fat and tall , totally great seat, but last summer couple straps broke, side pulled out, really over done. i use this with the bottom cinched and do not use leg straps and new works great in same fashion...anyway looking about the rest of the junk i see the dakine Vega seat which is a stripped down fusion that is super tight low profile seat and like 120$. so i get it and it turned out exactly perfect for nitrous seat hack into a pair of board shorts!

cut a gap on the hips of the shorts, added deluxe big azzz button hole stitch to beef up the hole and BOOOM! juice boost shorts.

dakine vega is really cut down and trim totally tuck in steathly .
yep stoked!!

exactly my problem, hence the clydesdale version!

since the foiling practice is on the horizon i wanted to wear a helmet and a vest this combo is going to further commit me ...justified it to the wife , i told her i thought i would stick to the kiting thing

How do you like that low towpoint? That looks like where the PL Divine harness keeps its hook. I have tried boarding in my Divine and I just feel like I can't keep my hips under me as well as with a higher towpoint like a waist harness.

the bar sits just at the top of my hips(the bone not the joint) which are higher into my waist , the top of my hips are practically just at my rib cage. add this to long legs and its my preffered balance point. even if i wear a waist it does not sit that much higher.

my hips are tall, my legs are long and my rib cage crowds my waist, for me it works. i worked this out some time ago with all kind stuff seats/ waist/ women waist/ vest/chest, seen them all tried them all. a long waisted rider would have trouble as you mentioned with tow point too low.

with a balancing element higher makes things much easier and feels much more in control. too low is disatrous. good point !

a seat harness like chameleon by dakine would be a long waisted rider better fit i think.

Yeah, part of the reason I didn't take to my landboard when I had it was that I had so much trouble keeping my feet under me in my buggy harness. I am used to it for static flying, but I feel like I can't keep my hips and feet under my center with the kite controlling my hips. An old wrestling concept is to control your opponent's hips so they can never get balance or leverage. That is what it felt like trying to landboard in my Divine. That harness is so comfy you forget you are wearing it in the buggy, but standing up it just doesn't let you put your leverage to the ground.
