It's been a couple years but there is a surf shop in Wailua on Kulio Hwy just north of Haleilio Rd. Can't remember the owners name or the shops name.
I think it's a few doors down from Boss Frogs. The one I found on the south end of the island by Poipu wasn't too keen on lessons. More for the
experienced kite boarder.
The best buggy beach on the entire island is on the west side, Polihale State Park. I personally would rate this beach at the top of my best 5 beaches
to buggy. I would move there just for the beach. And fact I've been looking at property on the island, would be a terrible place to retire too.
Any room in your extra suitcase for a stowaway? I don't eat much, and I'll bring my own gear.
