Looking for kite buggy spots southern Utah
Just left Ivanpah about a week ago. What an amazing place to buggy! We are currently boondocking on lake Mead. We leave on Friday to head back toward
Massachusetts. I would love to hit the areas around salt land city but our time frame won't allow it. Does anyone know of some kite buggy friendly
spots in southern Utah?
We will be taking 15 up to 70 and then cutting across the state.
Also looking for spots on our way back east we are aiming for Columbus Ohio so any along that route would be great.

Wah Wah Hardpan is a picturesque dry lake 100 miles of dirt road west of the intersection of I-15 & I-70. Coming from the south you can avoid all
but the last 10 miles of the dirt portion of driving by cutting NNW out of Cedar City to Milford and then west roughly 40 miles. If you are interested
I can give you more detailed directions/information. It is south of (dry) Sevier Lake, but I've never heard of anyone buggying that lake.

Now that place seems great! How remote is it? I'm pulling a 24' travel trailer. Just wondering about the steep inclines... Thank you for the quick
response!

Nothing steep at all. Good dirt road - other than washboard. Watch for barbed wire fences dividing up the playa. It's no Ivanpah. Other than that a
few cow hoof prints that will provide you with incentive to pay attention.

We will be stopping buy in a few days! Barbed wire fences?! Is there plenty of space between the fences? I'd be interested in as much information as
you can provide... There is not much information on the interwebs.

25 or 30 miles west of Milford on hwy 21 you will see a dirt road to the north. It goes past the only ranch in the area. After about 15 miles you will
see the dry lake off your right. Turn tight on the road that parallels the fence. At the far east end of the fence there is a gate. You can either go
through the gate, there is a large section there or stay to the east of the fenced area. If you go through the gate there is eventually another fence
running east west with another large area after that. It is very remote, peaceful and beautiful (if you like desert).
