My new, and first, powerkite is here! First flight done too..
My new to me, 3.5m Ozone Cult is here!
And I'm surprised (and mildly concerned ) about how big the kite is. Time for me to step up from a 3 line trainer onto a quad line power kite. Wind
and weather permitting I'll get my maiden flights on on Wednesday evening down at my local beach.
Thanks all for the advice that led me to a sensible decision, and now watch this for my maiden video. Not sure about my wife's video skills, nor my
flying skills, so may be interesting....

My First Flight, with pic
Well, I did get to the beach last night. And yes! I got my first flight in with my Cult 3.5 I had no problem self launching it in extremely light
winds. And I enjoyed my short flight, flying figure of eights, willing it to keep flying. And then the wind died completely. So I packed the kite
back into it's bag, and enjoyed a nice evening walk on the beach instead.
Apologies for the photo shot into the sun, better photos and video next time.
Bring on the buggy, and kite's # n+1...
PS. Whats a good size all around depower kite?

I am blessed witha beautiful beach to enjoy, just down the road. I've ticked off getting my first powerkite, now all i need is the buggy to go with
it! I've got the wheels sorted, just need to sort out a simple frame to go around them. Also I also see the need for a bigger kite for light wind
days.
