BORN-KITE LONGSTAR BLOWOUT! - SOLD

My bride and I are doing some major work in our garage readying it for some custom hangers, cabinets, racks, etc. and I'm going through all my gear, keeping only what I'm actually planning on using.

Your loss is my gain. I'm selling my quiver of Born-Kite LongStars (3.0, 5.0, and 7.0m), complete with custom individual color-matched stuff sacks for the unbelievable low price of $150 for the entire quiver, INCLUDING shipping! To buy these new from Germany would cost $885 USD for the kites, call it $950 USD once you pay taxes and shipping. That puts the cost of these practically new kites to you at 15% of retail!

I'll only sell these as a complete quiver, so please don't ask to purchase just one or two.

$150 for entire quiver, INCLUDING shipping anywhere in continental US

I'll take them for R&D, hoping I can modify them similarly to NS2.

I guess I am late.

Sorry Prussik, but they already sold. R&D purposes was how I saw this sale happening. A former buyer of several items from me jumped right on this just a couple of minutes after I posted. Thank you for your interest.

I thought this was gonna go quick at that price and sure enough...

I saw your post early this morning and was almost gonna pull the trigger but I couldn't justify the usage for my conditions.

However, I was doing some streetkiting on this bike path yesterday that works perfectly on a south wind. Unfortunately, there was a little too much east in it which made going upwind difficult. I was wondering if the Longstar would have worked better?

With your arsenal as listed in your signature I'm sure you were able to find something to work. I suspect you are making an attempted comparison with your 4m NS3. I would say that the 3m LS has sort of the same pull as a 4m NS3 but not appreciably more upwind performance. You didn't miss anything here.

Yup, just couldn't make 'em work for me, hard as I tried to like them. I'm pretty pleased with my overall quiver at this point. Two kites to go; 4m Access V6 and 12m Summit V3.
