Where else to look for honest, meaningful advice on a purchase then powerkiteforum...

I'm after a low wind, trainer/for the girlfriend, that will also keep me happy when the wind is screaming, moderately priced, good value kite.

I missed the bidding on a good priced Little Devil, so now I'm looking elsewhere.

It appears that I can puck up a Beamer II 1.8 for under 130. Is this worth the money? I've read some reviews (racekites), but wanted to hear some of the powerkiteforum voices speak as well.

If you have other suggestions, I'd be open to them as well.

Yeah that's a good price; retail was $169 and what you are looking for adequately describes the Beamer.

Probably a lot of good prices on Beamer II's now that the III's are out. Nothing wrong with the II's though.

I recently did a review on the 1.8- look for it in the review forum. Awesome kite! Very stable and fast in strong winds.
