Remo,
If you post a few photos it would be easier. The lines are no problem just get a line set with equal specs. The Bar set up has a small ronston block with a grey (sleaved spectra?) to connect them Spectra is avaliable at a kite shop or dingy racing shop. Sleaved means it has a sleave of dacron or like material over it so it protects and makes knots easier. You can likely build one yourself just try for the same lengh and size.

Can't seem to see the pic, I get a blank page.

Are you talking about breaking the lines at the kite end where they start to split up to support the different parts of the kite sail (kite bridal)? or at the bar/handle end.

The flying lines are easy to replace, usually they come in a set. If the Bridal's broken then it really should go back to the shop where it can be repaired properly, being out 1cm on one of the lines can drastically change how a kite flies.

It sounds to me like you are talking about the small piece of cord binding your bridle lines together and providing a knott to larkshead your fly lines to ? Kind of odd that piece would blow twice ? I suppose in a pinch you could make them out of a shoe lace. Obviously your kite is applying a huge load on them so you should bind them with I higher pound rating than your brake lines. I'ld suggest a climbing / marine or kite shop.

If I'm not mistaken though, the kite's pretty new, If this is the case, bring it back to the shop. Unless you did something silly like hook it on a passing car or something that's obviously abuse. it's the sort of thing that shouldn't break during normal flight.

You can get Qpower line from any kite shop, worst case you can use this to repair the bridal, just look at one side, make sure you get the other side exactly the same length when pulled tight. If it's the peice where they all come together use Q-line or something equally heavy, I suggest the Q line because you can knot it without losing a huge ammount of it's strength and it's way overrated to start with.

For the smaller individual bridal lines you can replace them with lighter lines, but you'll have to undo part of the bridal to get the old ones out and new ones in, be sure once again to match the lengths exactly to the ones on the other side of the kite.

Once again, if it's new and not abuse, bring it back to the shop. that's one of the main advantages of buying locally. You support them, they support you and you both do well.

I had my line snap that held my wrist leash to the heavier cord running through my bar and brakes with my 3 line. The piece was worn and it was my fault but those brakes would hit with big force when I let go in big winds.

I'm guilty of buying online rather than local but yours is an example of why buying local is better. Good luck. You should be able to fix it cheap. :bird:

I would suggest you take something from home for now. The cord from your jacket hood or something should be strong enough to keep you going. You could also remove your brake lines from your handles and just fly 2 line for now.

another good source for control gear line is a local marine store, if you are near the coast or a lake or river. They sell small diamenter running line for dingies that is Dyneema or Spectra that is sheathed. I just got some to rig a cross-over bar.
