WELDNGOD Aluminum Buggy, One-of-a-Kind and sturdy as a tank.
About the Buggy. Buggy could use paint. I had high hopes to customize but haven't had the time and I really never get to buggy. There's also a link in
my signature line for discussions on this item. It's the green buggy below and pictured with a PL Buggy which shows the relative size. Before you
ask, I no longer have the PL buggy.
This will have to be an in-person deal as I want to ensure in person all is well before closing the deal. Those that know me know I will make sure all
is right.
I will not ship but I'm willing to drive a reasonable distance to deliver for Gas and lunch.. I'm in the tidewater section of Virginia..
$450
NOTE**
I'm not a paypal customer so postal money order or cash is preferred.
I will do so. Intend to use the bug exactly as received without any changes other than replacing any worn parts as needed. Love the color! What
alloy are the tubes? I was the metals raw material buyer in a large factory for many years. The top TIG welders in our plant were real artists. I
also have several USA made Cannondale bicycles which are 6061 alloy artificially aged to T6. SHBKF
It is made of 5083 and 5086 AL . It was the first kitebuggy I built . It has had it's share of mods over the yrs. . Speaking of yrs., it was built in
2006. Here are some old pics. I have build pics somewhere.
Sounds like excellent choices of alloy for a large fabrication not readily heat treatable & also chemical/seawater resistance is quite good. The
alloy strengths fair well during welding processes which is a big plus. We only used a small amount of 5086 in the plant where I worked but used
considerable amounts of the 5000 series alloys in 5052 H34. In some applications it was suitable as a substitute for the higher cost 6000 series
alloys. We used very large amounts of 6061 & 6063 extrusions in the production of reefer semi-trailers where every pound saved means an
additional pound of cargo can be carried. But I digress.... Love aluminum, SHBKF
