Any Kind of Landboard

Trying to get into the sport. Have been flying deltas and dual lines for years. Renctly began with foils. Have a 170 and a 3.1m and would like to find a cheap board to learn on at the beach on hard packed sand.

I'm located on East Coast in North Carolina.

Would like to see what is available.

Thanks in advance

Russell

I've have 4/ 3 from CL 75-100$ go there first almost any will be fine to get going
They tend to sit in closets and not be used by delusional snowboarders
Then make an investment in a good board when it's time to step up

MBS makes a good landboard . I think they are the only company left that makes a variety of boards. the Core 90 series is a good board to start with it . The atom series is too small and the comp series is a little on the larger/heavy side. Goodluck landboarding its ALOT of fun on the beach when the tide is out.

Where in NC are ya? The sand at most of NC beaches sucks!!! Too loose and pebbly, not really hardpack. And when you find it watch out for the soft spots where water has been going back to sea underground..Faceplant! The sound side might have better sand. I ride @ Va Beach, and there are lots of soft spots.I have never found really good sand in OBX.

We have a place at Holden Beach. Just above Myrtle but still in NC. Sand is soft but don't really know (no experience) what is too soft.

One reason I'm not going to spend much $ on a board.

If you can ride a bike on it and hardly leave a tire track, it's good. The deeper the impression is the worse it's going to be.

I have a MTB. I'll bring it down next time. I'm thinking it will be a bit softer than that though

you may have to refocus on a buggy- That's if you want to ride the wind at all....but -granted- that's a bigger investment...

I'm a bit late posting to this one... but...if you're still interested I have a barely used AK103 board with the sherpa bag. I never ride it, I just use my buggy. I would let it go for $125 firm if you're interested. From what I've read in this thread, you might be looking for a buggy in stead. I'm going to post this on the for sale site...u2u me if you want more info.
