So I ordered a pair of Amerityre All-Terrain (semi-slick) tires for my Dirtsurfer and am excited to see how well they eat up the playa instead of the other way around. They are solid, closed-cell polyurethane tires that are supposed to outlast rubber tires 3 to 1, never lose psi, water-proof, and best of all flat-free! So I noticed they make wheelbarrow tires (hint hint) and was wondering if anyone had tried them on their buggy?

By no means a rep, was just in Boulder City (where they are made) and came across them in the bike shop. They come in Black or Bright "safety" yellow!

I looked into them once, but they only come with the rim, and they look like they are injection molded into the rim. And the bearing size does not match up well with these German buggies. If anyone has done it, I'd like to hear about it.

I'll keep an eye out at NABX for a yellow-tired DirtSurfer.

Hey goreo, I am able to by the tire only and by the looks of it in their catalog, they list part numbers for tires only in the wheel barrow and handtruck section. Looks like they have a decent selction too. Looking forward to seeing everyone at NABX, and maybe even a couple buggies with yellow tires too te he:P

Thinking on it, should be useful for when night buggying/dirtsurfing. OOOH, maybe I'll paint my board in glo-in-the-dark-paint for NABX!:evil:
